November 5th – Tina Pegler aka (Mrs. “P”) – Learning for Life
Director for Learning for Life and Exploring Programs here in Southwest Florida. Born and raised in Long Island, New York, Tina has lived in Lee County for 37 years. Tina has always wanted to be a teacher and was fortunate to teach special needs at San Carlos Park Elementary School. She continued her journey by teaching character education through the Southwest Florida Council in Lee and Hendry Counties for the past 15 years.
Tina touches the lives of so many students and educators through her PASSION in the Learning for Life program! She inspires others to follow her example. Tina still amazes everyone she meets with her enormous amount of energy and enthusiasm. Her DESIRE is to continue to IMPACT students through the Learning for Life program. Tina believes that by cultivating relationships with administrators, educators, businesses and volunteers, they will become more familiar with the Learning for Life Programs. She is pleased and amazed to see such growth with so many people each year that supports Learning for Life. She plans to continue to connect our communities and families helping to build a healthier and happier society and future for our children!

November 19th – Bill Gray – Current events in Hong Kong
William G. Gray has been an engineering professor at Princeton, Notre Dame, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with teaching and research in modeling of environmental systems. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering. Over the last three years, he as spent approximately 6 months working at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His time in Hong Kong preceded the recent disruptions. He will offer some perspectives based on his experiences in Hong Kong and interactions with friends who have provided their views on the current situation and future prospects for their city. This presentation is based on experience and anecdotes rather than serious research inquiry.
